Aiming to reach the large fan following of actor Prabhas in Japan, the team behind director Maruthi’s horror comedy ‘The Raja Saab’, starring actor Prabhas in the lead role, has announced their intention to launch the dubbed Japanese version of the film in Japan, three to six months after its release in India.
During a pre-release event hosted by the film’s creators, the producer was questioned about plans to release the film in Japan, given Prabhas’s popularity there.
In answer to the question, the producer stated, “We are currently distributing the film in Indian languages.” The film will be dubbed in Japanese and launched in Japan three to six months after it is released here.
It is worth noting that Prabhas had just recently traveled to Japan for the launch of his movie ‘Baahubali: The Epic’. The movie premiered there because of the significant fan base the actor has in the nation.
Before ‘Baahubali‘, the actor’s movie ‘Saaho’ also premiered in Japan to packed theaters. Actually, ‘Saaho’, directed by Sujeeth and starring Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor, became the top opener for any Indian film in Japan upon its release there.
At the same time, the producer mentioned that they were unsure about how many screens ‘The Raja Saab’ would receive in Tamil Nadu, but they anticipated a range of 150 to 200 screens.
For those who don’t know, ‘The Raja Saab’ has sparked significant interest among fans and movie enthusiasts, and a chilling yet expertly edited trailer that the creators unveiled recently has only heightened the anticipation.
