The five-time Ballon d’Or recipient had provided Nassr with an ideal beginning in Riyadh — but concluded the evening shaking his head in astonishment as he was substituted late on.
Ronaldo opened the scoring in the thrilling encounter, netting his 16th goal of the season with a precise finish in the 42nd minute after receiving a pass from Kingsley Coman. Al Nassr controlled the first half, repeatedly attacking Hilal’s goal and appearing assertive.

Mohamed Simakan committed an awkward foul, leading to a penalty that Salem Al Dawsari successfully scored to equalize. Al Hilal detected an opportunity. Mohamed Kanno scored in the 81st minute, then Ruben Neves confirmed the victory with a penalty in stoppage time, completing a decisive turnaround.

The loss puts Al Nassr seven points adrift of Al Hilal and continues a concerning downward trend — three consecutive defeats after a strong beginning to the season.
Still pursuing his first significant trophy with Al Nassr, Ronaldo now confronts yet another challenging task. Nassr will face Al Shabab on Saturday, aware that anything short of a victory would diminish their dwindling title chances.
