Roger Federer Fever: Fans Snap Up Hall of Fame Tickets in Minutes

Federer Excitement: Tickets For Swiss Icon’s Hall Of Fame Induction Gone In Only TWO Minutes

Roger Federer will be honored in the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport on August 28, with tickets quickly selling out in two minutes.

Roger Federer’s upcoming standing ovation has a schedule — and an unmatched level of excitement.

The International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Rhode Island, has announced that the 20-time Grand Slam champion will be honored on Friday, August 28 (ceremony date on August 29 as per Hall’s announcement).

This week, tickets became available for purchase, with prices beginning at $90.

They didn’t endure for long.

In reality, they disappeared within only two minutes.

Roger Federer Celebration Triggers Instant Sellout

“The Hall of Fame saw an extraordinary demand for the 2026 induction ceremony, with tickets selling out in just two minutes,” the organization shared on social media.

Despite preparing for the chaos, it still wasn’t sufficient.

Initially, approximately 900 tickets were offered for the event within the historic Newport Casino — the 19th-century site that contains the Hall.

Expecting significant enthusiasm for the first player to secure 20 Grand Slam singles titles, organizers opened the nearby 3,600-seat arena for an outdoor viewing event.

That indicated approximately 4,500 tickets altogether — still sold out in two minutes.

“With a limited capacity, our historic venue encourages fans to sign up for waitlists and subscribe for updates,” said the Hall.

A Celebration Lasting Three Days

Federer will be honored together with acclaimed broadcaster Mary Carillo, with celebrations lasting over three days in Newport.

The updated induction celebration, launched in 2025, comes back with enhanced programming.

Highlights include:

  • The Hall of Fame Celebrity Pro Classic showcases Federer playing doubles with other tennis icons.
  • A fresh Red Carpet Pre-Show and Viewing Party before the induction event.

The Hall has recently finished a $3 million renovation in anticipation of significant upcoming inductions — featuring Federer this year and possibly Serena Williams next year, if she stays retired
