Kylian Mbappe vs Cristiano Ronaldo: Who Reached 50 LaLiga Goals Faster?

Kylian Mbappe

Kylian Mbappe Reach 50 LaLiga Goals

Kylian Mbappe netted 50 LaLiga goals in 53 matches for Real Madrid, making him the second quickest this century, behind Cristiano Ronaldo. He tops the 2025–26 scoring table with 19 goals.

Kylian Mbappe continues to share elite company — and yet again, the only player ahead of him is his idol, Cristiano Ronaldo.

How Fast Did Kylian Mbappe Reach 50 LaLiga Goals?

On Saturday, Mbappe achieved the milestone of 50 LaLiga goals, becoming the second-fastest player this century to do so, reaching it in only 53 matches for Real Madrid.

The sole athlete to accomplish it faster? Ronaldo, who required 51 matches after arriving at Madrid in 2009.

Mbappe reached his 50th goal in typical style, coolly scoring a penalty in Madrid’s 2–0 victory against Levante at the Santiago Bernabeu.

It was a pivotal moment in a charged environment, with the home supporters remaining uneasy after a surprising Copa del Rey exit and recent coaching changes.

Since joining from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2024, the Frenchman has been consistently relentless. Fifty league goals in 53 matches places him above some of LaLiga’s most intimidating scorers of recent times — such as Luis Suarez, Radamel Falcao, Robert Lewandowski, and Neymar.

Mbappe’s performance has hardly faltered since clinching the Pichichi Trophy in his first LaLiga season with 31 goals. He has already scored 19 goals in the 2025–26 season, placing him firmly at the top of the scoring leaderboard and squarely in the Golden Boot discussion once more.

Although comparisons with Ronaldo’s impressive total of 311 LaLiga goals in 292 matches are ambitious, Mbappe’s path is difficult to overlook.

Should he maintain his health and continue scoring at this pace, history indicates that many more milestones are on the way.
