Why Chelsea Promoted Calum McFarlane After Just Two Matches in Charge

Calum McFarlane will become Chelsea’s assistant to Liam Rosenior following a strong performance as the interim head coach. Rosenior will make his debut on Saturday facing Charlton Athletic.

Calum McFarlane is poised to join Liam Rosenior as his assistant at Chelsea, marking a rapid ascent following his notable time as interim head coach at Stamford Bridge.

His elevation comes after two consistent displays under challenging conditions, featuring a commendable 1-1 draw away at Manchester City and another match directed on Wednesday night, observed from the stands by the newly appointed manager Rosenior.
